Zoey

Zoey is a talented mare.  Se was a little skittish when she came to us, but we’ve helped her progress to a point where she is solid with basic gaits, and has a start on more advanced movements (leg-yield, sidepass, pivot). She has great natural reach and movement, and can turn on a dime.

We ride our horses in a snaffle for starting, and Zoey is very soft to the bit. She steers well off the seat and legs, and is sensitive to pressure. While not generally nervous, she is quite responsive. For this reason, she is not suitable for an inexperienced rider.

Zoey has a good foundation and no vices. She’s primed to go into any discipline. Her big gaits, softness, and sensitivity would serve her well in dressage, while her agility could take her far cutting cattle.

Zoey is registered with AQHA. She is currently barefoot, up to date on trimming, and is good with her feet. She has excellent ground manners, is easy to be around, stands quietly tied (no cross-ties necessary), and leads well. She is respectful of people and easy to handle.

We’ve grown quite attached to this little mare in the months we’ve had her. She has a lot of ‘try.’ We are so happy to have found her a home where she will continue to learn.
